My baby always turns her head to the right... how can we get her to turn left?

Our daughter is 1 week old... and when we put her down for a nap, she always turns her head to the right. What's a good way to get her to turn the other way? We manually turn her head... and use little towels to prop her up, but she always seems to manage to turn the other way...

  • Let her sleep that way, its probably more comfortable for her right now!

  • whats wrong with her facing the right? How would you feel if someone kept turning you when you were trying to get comfortable? I think you should just let her sleep.

  • thanks for the answers... basically, we're worried that if she always sleeps on one side, that side of her head will flatten...

  • You should help her all the time to turn left side too. It is an exercise for her neck muscles and she wouldn't get one side flatter than other side on her head.
