Credit score

My dh has been working hard to raise his credit score...I believe it was in the high 500s..which is horrible, I guess? Over the past 5 years he's gotten it to 700. Well he was checking his credit on his monthly credit check and it dropped 70 points from last month. He has absolutely NO clue as to why that happened and is freaking out. He has been calling a million people (the company that he gets his credit score from) asking them why this happened and they keep blaming other people and telling him to call somewhere else. But no one is telling us WHY it dropped. Nothing has shown up on his credit score that shows it. Does anyone know why your credit score would lower THAT much? We are on time with EVERY payment..and no one can give us answers. Or as to where we can find out why it's dropped that much?? Thanks in advance!

  • Has he actually pulled a credit report. There is a place you can go to get your credit report but it doesn't give the score. Its the federally mandated site (you have a right to a free credit report once a year). I cannot remember where it is. GL

  • Yeah he pays a monthly fee to get his credit report each month, there was absolutely NOTHING on the credit report about the score dropping 70 points...so then he called that company and they kept telling him to call someone else and blaming other people. Thanks for the help.
