  • Yep, somebody actually died from drinking too much water in a radio contest. People called in and told the D.J.s that the contestants could get poisoned but they didn't listen.

  • Yes. I remember that radio station stint, "Hold your wee for a Wii." That poor lady died, so not only did the kids not get the Wii, they have no mom now too. I wonder how that lawsuit came out.

  • yeah i heard about the radio station thing too! i couldn't believe it. i knew you could get water poisoning, but omg that lady died!

  • Yup. When I was on my Psych rotation for nursing we had a patient that we had to keep away from the water fountain or she would just continue to drink until she died. Waaaayyyyy too long ago for me to remember the details and too lazy to look it up. Not an issue for a normal healthy person.
    So drink your water!
