i posted the question earlier about the teething....do you think thats what it is? that is what is causing this all of a sudden fussiness and not sleeping through night?? how ling from when u feel the gums swell till the tooth comes out?? thanks so much for your help ladies.

  • oh and if it is they say that some babies teeth can come in over night but some can take months

  • Sounds like teething to me. I have 4 children and it sounds just like it. If there is fever involved soon then you will no for sure. It can take a few months for the teeth to pop through but its the first few weeks that hurt them the most so it will get better. They can even get a runny nose from it and diarrhea.

  • My daughters gums never really swelled but from the time we could see it right below the gumline till it popped out above the gumline was 4 days...4 very long days. She has 2 teeth and both were this way. She is cutting a third and all the signs are happening again. We notice a rash on her chin and chest from the extra drool when she is about to cut a new tooth. She is super crabby for about 4 days. Once her teeth popped above the gumline, it took a good 2-3 weeks to come in all the way. Good luck with making it through the teething, if your kiddo is like my daughter...it is really rough and you are going to need all the good luck you can get.
