  • I'd have stainless steel appliances. For room decor I would do a wine/ Italian theme w/ deep, rich colors.

  • Tropical, if you like that. Maybe some bright colors.

  • You could go with modern theme, since black countertop would be avant garde, in my opinion. Black and white curtains, or no curtains, Black or white appliances, flooring, accessories.

Of if you don't want to go that way, something to soften the dark countertops, - pastels, for example.

  • Red. My Mom just did this and it looks awesome!!! She has all red appliances (microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, dish rack) ...and then red accessories. I love the look!

  • Thats what i have and my theme is coffee, it looks really nice, it uses the deep red and helps tie in the brown cabinets with the black counters and appliances. I have had the coffee theme for about 5 years now and we just bought a new house that got to pick the colors and it really does look nice.

  • I like Crate and Barrel style.... kind of like Mission. You know things that look old or are architectual (sp?) in nature like finnials and rustic pounded platiumn.
