My son will be 3 in Jan. How tall should he be and how much should he weigh?

  • it all depends on genetics honestly, my nephew is 10 months older than my daughter and she towers over him. My boys were always taller than other kids until they hit school age where they evened out. I also had children who were all in the 90th percentile.

  • My mother always says "36 months, 36 inches and 36 pounds". That is supposed to be the point which they start weighing more than they are tall. My kids were smaller than that though.

  • my dd is a little over 3 ft tall and weighs 42lbs (turned 3 in july) but i agree with 3 ring circus, it's genetics

  • i dont know because my son has a long torso and is tall is 18 months and 30 lbs hes mommy's little future football player... my friends daughter is going to be 5 and she is only 2 lbs heavier than my son so idont know.

  • Well, he's 30 lbs and 34 1/2 inches. He'll be 3 Jan 36th. The Dr. says he's fine. The otehr kids are just bigger.

  • every child is different you cnat copmpared him to others. my dd is 31 mts 29lbs and 34 1/2 inches
