help - I have standing water in my kitchen sink

I tried pooring boiling water down and nothing - just more water - any ideas?

  • Plunger. If you have a double sink make sure you plug the side you aren't plunging though, and obviously if it's the same one you use for your toilet you'll want to sanitize when you're done.

  • Drano also works as well.
    Or if you have one of those snake things, that works as well. I honestly forget what they're called...It's where you slip it into the pipes, and turn the water on - usually connected outside/garden hose section, and the water will keep filling up until the pressure builds so high, it shoots the water down and unclogs. It worked great for our bathtub.
