  • Medicare is typically for families--many pregnant women and mothers get state med insurance if they cannot afford health insurance. To get it you need to call your local social services office and apply. You typically need to provide proof of income, rent, bank accounts, assets, child support, etc.

  • fyi medicare is for 65+ or disability. medicaid is for pregnant women and for children. wasnt sure which one you were really looking for.
