  • I always think its funny coz I know my nephew is not allowed to play with toy guns but he will take ANYTHING and say its a gun and go bam bam, its a guy thing. I will never understand why my husband has a gun AND knife collection nor will I ever understand why all little boys want to play with toy guns and when they can't they "make" guns. lol

  • Never

I had 3 sons and when they were older and in scouts they learned to shoot BB guns, how to use pocket knives, how to use hatchets, how to throw hatchets, how to saw stuff, how to use a bow and arrow, how to make arrows, how to build fires, ect. We had BB guns, pocket knives, hatchets, saws, bows and arrows, and a backpack full of fire starting stuff we called the bag of fire and magic. My kids won all kinds of contests at starting fires. Kind of scarry.

I was a single mother and we did a lot of family camping. People thought I was crazy. I was involved in scouts with the kids. I had been a girl scout and explorer boy scout.

My sons all worked at cub scout summer camp teaching 11 year olds all these skills.

  • no way.

I would rather teach him to use the real things properly under adult supervision. Toys do not reinforce proper safety.

I dont even like NERF guns

  • We don't allow guns. He really doesn't have any toy weapons, but my husband collects swords, so we plan on teaching him about them when he's older.
