formula amount?

My almost 9 week old still only drinks up to 3 or 31/2 ounces of formula. Is this normal? I have a few people I know that have had kids at the same time and there kids are drinking 5 or more ounces at this stage.

  • I agree, depends on baby my son is 3 months on sunday and he will drink 4 oz on a sitting then drink an additional 2 30 minutes later, but he doesn't do this all the time, sometimes he will just drink 4.

  • He's taking all HE needs. As long as he's not hungry, he's fine. As long as he's growing, he's fine.

Mine took a HELL of a lot more at that age, but that's what they needed....

  • my son is 10 months old and is a snacker. sometimes he eats only 3 oz but thats bc he'll snack on a bottle for a couple hours. he's too busy moving around lol. there's a few times a day where he sits and drinks all 6-7 oz at once, but usually it takes a while.
