  • Buying cigs for him is at least contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

I'm very sure that allowing him to sleep in the bad with the minor daughter is a big deal too.
I'm surprised DSS didnt do anything when the girl got pregnant, but laws vary from state to state.

If you're honestly concerned, call DSS and file an anonymous complaint.

  • I definatley would not want him around my family. Buying the cigarretts for the b.d. is definatly illegal since he is only 16. Im not really sure about anything else. But i would definatley say that is bad parenting. Its like supporting a felon. You know he robs houses, smokes weed, does illegal things and you are happy to open your home and your daughters bed to him. Wow what are they thinking. JMO.

  • Boy, they are just enabling the heck outta of him, aren't they? He needs a good spanking is what that boy needs! Bad to the bone. He certainly wouldn't be welcome to OUR family functions! Sheesh!

  • Buying the cigarettes is the only illegal part you've written about. The rest is legal but dumb.

  • Sounds like just bad parenting decisions, yes buying cigarettes for a 16 year old is illegal, but when has anyone seen some one arrested for that? Is it possible that they are thinking along the lines of bring him into the family so maybe help him get straightened out? That they care about him? Even though they are young he is their grandchilds father, maybe they just want to make him feel welcome? Or maybe they really want him out of their daughters life and one of the FASTEST ways to get a boy out of a 16 year old girls life is for mom and dad to like him!

DSS does not deal with statutory rape even still..
He's only 16 you moron what is there for DSS to get involved with even if they did?...
Dss does not get involved unless the welfare of the unborn child is at stake and was reported by the parents. If it was statutory rape it would have to be reported by the parents and obviously they could care less.

  • Yes, CPS can do something if they boy is older than the girl. (depends on the age of consent in the state you are in). I am taking a social services class and CPS can bring charges against the boy for stat rape. They don't necassarily do anything but they can.

Anon 9:18, a 16 year old CAN be charged with stat rape and be sentenced and jailed and then a registered sex offender for life. CPS can get involved if the 15 year old is being abused by the bf.

The parents need to be investigated, they are allowing a 16 year old minor to live in their house and smoke pot in their house and vehicles. They are asking for a lot of trouble. IF he gets busted for having or smoking pot in their house and vehicle, they can be charged too. They can be charged with contributing to the deliquency of a minor for buying him cigarettes, that is illegal. Sounds like ALL of them need to grow up.
