What kind of health care are you really fighting for?

When those in favor of the government health care reform compare the wonders of Medicare patient care to that of private insurers, you would think that Medicare is wonderful and you suddenly can't wait to grow old enough to enjoy it yourself. However, Medicare denies more claims than any private insurer. Why would you be fighting for less care at a higher price tag? Wouldn't it be more prudent to fight for lesislation that lowers cost and increases coverage?

  • I don't get it. We will take a program that is flailing, add 20 + million to it, (they now say up to 25 million will not be covered)cut billions from the program and actually think we will save money and cover everyone. LOLOLOLOLOLOL Thats just ridiculous and I can't imagine a sane person trying to push that argument.
You have to take into account that this plan only touts 10 yrs worth of program. (the failing medicare program now cost hundreds of millions more than they thought it would)What happens then. Will you be dead? Probably not, you and your kids will be paying more for, waiting for and probably dying sooner because of any Democratic plan.

  • I am fighting for one that will stop insurance companies from stealing our hard earned money, and denying claims and letting people die in the process.

This isn't going to stop that...you know that right?? Insurance companies are going to unload BIG time if this passes-they won't have to pay for people anymore and government ran insurance can pick up the tab. And guess who is going to pay for it?? The middle class-just like with everything else!!

  • Well should we just "risk" it? I am not a fan of the whole "let's throw it against the wall and see if it sticks" theory....
