How much COULD you get in food stamps? (only if you don't already have them)

I don't care if you already have them.

We get $1600/month for 3 people and rent is 400 + all util. Using the food stamp calculator, I could get $201.00 each month.

Use this calculator and see how much you could get

  • Okay.. this is strange.

I put in my mother's informaiton: She is eldery & disabled & her only income is SSI amounting to about $600/mo. According to this, she's eligable for $200.... but she quit taking food stamps because they were only giving her $10/mo and she had to go down to the office in person every month to get them... which isn't possible because of her disability.

Eh.. guess it's a state thing.

  • I'm on SSI and you can only get $10 a month. With the calculator I would get $87.

  • According to that we'd get like $355 but when I tried to apply years ago when we made a whole lot less I was approved for only $120. So I don't think this thing is accurate.
