If a tenant doesn't pay rent, do they still have to give 30 days' notice before they move out?

  • If that is in the contract, yes. It's kinda a moot point if they don't pay rent though. There is no reason to rush to find another paying renter because they were not betting money before. Thats usually why people want the notice.
