How does legal aid work?

Will it help with my divorce? I live in TX.

  • I know in PA some places help with that. You would have to call and ask them what they help with. Alot of legal aid things dont because that means the government is losing money and they would rather you work it out then split up..good luck though

  • Legal aid is often law students who are in their final semester. They work pro bono and under the supervision of a bar certified lawyer. They are the lawyers on the case. I think it is a great way for these students to get practicle experience yet be supervised. I guess it is basically an internship.
