Flu vaccine question

We have not given our children the flu vaccine this year, we have decided not to.
We are making a trip to my mother in laws house this weekend and she just got the shot one or two days ago.

Is there a chance she could spread it to my children?

  • Not with the flu shot, only if she had the flumist (nasal spray). When you get the flumist, you are getting live virus & can shed it for a few days after you use the spray, but with the shot you get a dead virus and can't shed it.

  • Only with the flu must spray do you have to worry. That's the live virus vaccine. Not the shot. :)
