  • Chocolate Pudding Cake

    1 c. flour (i use whole-wheat pastry flour)
    1 tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. cocoa powder (fair-trade! )
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 cup sugar
(i have pretty successfully reduced the sugar by 1/4-1/2 and it still tastes fine, but this is what the recipe calls for...so i would say, just sugar it to taste)
1/2 c. butter or Earth Balance
1/2 c. plant or animal milk
    1 tsp. vanilla

    sauce:
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cocoa powder
    2 c. *boiling* water
combine the dry ingredients, then combine the wet ingredients, and stir together until just mixed
spread into a lightly-oiled baking pan mix together sucanat and cocoa and sprinkle evenly on top of cake carefully pour boiling water over the cake and topping - DO NOT MIX, bake for 40 minutes at 350. you might want to put a pan on the rack underneath in case it bubbles up over the top

  • This is easy....Make a store bought cake in any flavor, when it comes out of the oven poke holes in the top with the end of a wooden sppon. Mi your pudding as the box states and spread it over the cake when it has cooled. the pudding will fall into the holes in the cake and make it very moist as eaten.
