How long will it take to pass the unemployment ext. bill?

My mother is a hard working single parent. She lost her job a while ago and ran out a few days ago. She has applied for every job she could!! I am just wondering when the unemployment extention bill would pass? I have lil siblings that need a stable home.(soon she will loose it.)

  • You're going to have speak/demand/scream at your state Senators....that's where the hold-up is! http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hLKyB9H7lUpiALFVlU7RRJa9-EfwD9B2HBIG2

  • No it hasn't passed .
The Senate and house have different ideas of what to do and who to give it to so they will have to hash it out into one bill. The Senate says they have agreed but then they say they couldn't bring it to a quick vote. Go figure. I think they haven't ironed it out as well as they are saying.
Anyway, She has had almost a year on the last extension and this new one will be just over 3 more months. She better get busy finding a job. Maybe she needs to move somewhere there are jobs instead of waiting for government money or a job to drop in her lap.
