Cholesterol and pregnancy

Does anyone have any info on normal cholesterol levels during pregnancy? I had mine checked at a health fair the other day and my total cholesterol was VERY high. My HDL (good cholesterol) was excellent but the total cholesterol level worries me.
The supervisor there told me it's normal for pregnant women to have high cholesterol reading during pregnancy and it should normalize after the baby is born.
I'm still worried though...
Any info?
