What can my daughter take if she has the flu?

She was confirmed to have the seasonal flu last night and I'm worried that tylenol and motrin aren't enough! We went to the ER where it was confirmed, but we didn't get any further medication adn all they told us was that she'll run a fever for a few days and just give her tylenol and motrin around the clock until the fever is completely gone.

  • depends on symptoms. . . for fever Tylenol or Motrin, congestion saline drops for the nose, humidifier, raise the head of the bed. Keep her hydrated with water, juice, pedalite. However it is a virus. It will run its course with or without meds. Keep an eye on her breathing to make sure she isn't getting wheezy but other then that just keep her comfortable. GL
