  • If the dosage is not on the bottle, then call your doc's office or a nurse line...your insurance will have the info.

  • The dose goes by weight. It's probably 0.8 ml of infant tylenol...but I would suggest waiting until you speak to his doc before you give an infant any medication. An overdose of an infant with tylenol can do permeant liver damage and can lead to death. So definitely ask the doc first before you do anything! Not to freak you out but I work in a hospital pharmacy and tylenol overdoses are much worse than what people think , especially with infants.

  • Talk to your pediatrician if you're unsure. Questions like this are why we're paying them. ;)

  • Age doesn't matter as much as weight. Tylenol dosage goes by your baby's weight

Answer by msfila1980 at 10:09 PM on Oct. 11, 2009

  • At that age - NONE!

  • ok and my son weighs almost 20 lbs so what does that tell u/????

  • My pediatrician said to give my son 0.4ml for that age. I'd start with a little less than that but like everyone else said talk to your pediatrician.

  • You can call the toll free number to Tylenol on the box. They were extremely helpful to me when I had a question a few months ago about something else.
If they don't feel comfortable suggesting a dosage for your infant under 2 years of age then they will tell you to call your pediatrician. If your pediatrician does not have a doctor or nurse on call then you can call your pharmacy to ask them.
Be sure you are administering the Tylenol for a very good reason so your child won't be dosed if there is no need to.
    Best wishes.
