Any Travel Agents???

I have a stupid question: I want to plan a weekend getaway to Cape May, NJ the first weekend in December. Can I use a travel agent for a weekend getaway? Im looking online but cant find what I want so I figured a travel agent could help me.

  • I am not a travel agent but I love to travel. Tell me what you are looking for and I will see if I can help.

  • I am an agent but haven't heard of Cape May. Chances are, if you're looking to book a hotel, it'll be easiest to just book on your own as an agent won't get you a discount. If you were flying to Paris or needed a hotel package in Orlando, that would be different. The agent probably can book you a room but you wouldn't likely get a discount. See if Hotwire.com has hotels in the area, that's a good way to get a discount.

  • OP: Looking for a nice bed & breakfast or hotel not far from the beach (even though it will be frigid, lol) not too expensive. It will 12/4-12/6, 2 nights. The thing is I wanted a bed & breakfast but if it's too expensive then a hotel I guess. I want to spend around 150-200 a night but that should include something??? Preferably less then 200 a night. It is off season so it shouldn't be too hard. Also a king size bed. Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it. It will be my birthday weekend and a weekend away with no kids. My boyfriend has 2 and I have 1 so every weekend we all hang out and it would be nice to have a weekend with no kids, not that we dont love them. Just need some alone time.

  • The Dormer House has a vacany for the Antique Rose Suite, however, it looks like it is a queen bed. The room is between $150-$200 a night. Not sure how far it is away from the beach though.

There is also Angel of the Sea Bed. The rates vary from $135-$265 a night. The king size bed is the $265 a night option.

  • There is also the Mission Inn. They are 1 block from the beach and they have a room with a King size bed (San Juan Capistrano room) for $205 a night. However, it says on their website that certain rooms are subject to a 3 night stay. I would call them and ask if this is one of the rooms.

    the grand hotel looked nice!!!
why Cape may? I checked some of the major nice hotel sites and none of them have a place there. A travel agent may help but I wouldn't bet on it. Try the website first.
