does anyone clean houses? i need some advice on priceing.

I'm starting to clean homes on my own but would appreciate ant information on how to charge per home.

  • I would call local places. Don't tell them that you are wanting to do the cleaning for others but just see if they can give you what they would charge. Also search around craigs list and see if ANYONE is advertising there. You might get some ideas. GOOD LUCK!!

  • I don't clean homes, but I've interviewed with plenty of house cleaners. The one that I use only charges $7-$8/hr, but I usually end up giving her $10/hr because that's just SO low! On average here in Columbia, SC they charge $15/hr with a 4 hour min.... or they charge a flat rate, which is usually $65-$99 based on a 2000 sq ft home. It's different for different houses and areas. Good luck!!

  • I forgot to mention those prices are for bi-weekly cleaning. Most charge more for bi-weekly or monthly cleaning, and a little less weekly if they are needed every week.
