  • Is it your home? if so, there's no asking...your rules...if it's someone else's home, then you are kind of at their mercy...I'd do my best to keep baby out of the smoke filled room and let them know that if they want to see him, they must come into that room and not be smoking.

  • If it is your house then lay down the rules or your house, if its not your house you really have no say so move.

  • they are complete idiots, second hand smoke is bad for anyone no matter how old they are! there is no convincing a stupid person, so tell them it's your baby not theirs, do not smoke near your baby. btw-smoking around babies and young children can cause them to have asthma.

  • you most likely can't convince them. If it's your house- no smoking inside whatsoever. If it's not your house, hopefully you have your own room you can stay in. Let others know you will stay locked up in your room if anyone is smoking. Then when you move the first rule will be no smoking.

  • if its your home you should get a say but if you live with your mom or what not then its still your home and you have a right to do something like walk around with a can of air freshiner it will put the point into there head you dont want it around you .. and tell them point blank you dont care what they did with there baby when they were pregnant , this is your child and you say what goes end of conversation you are the only one who can tell them its your child and that you choose what goes into your childs body.

if its not your home and not where you live then you kinda gotta deal with it or leave i would personally leave because it sounds like they dont care about you or your child.

  • That irritates me people actually think second hand smoking has no effect! Its just as worse and the fact you have to even ask them to not smoke around you is very direspectful if its at their house or yours. Show some respect and consideration. And YES it can effect the baby and you even.
