just when you thought the national guard wouldnt screw you over!! (not a question )

so oct1st, 2 days before i had our dd my husband's orders were cut, without any for warning what so ever! This was supposed to be a permanent warehouse technician job and all of a sudden "we dont have the funding to re-new your orders or make this position a permanent one like we proposed it would be in the first place, good luck! see you whenever" wtf is that!?!? (btw national guard is a one weekend a month thing.. not full time active army type thing). and then right before we left the hospital the clerk tells us our share of cost for medical is 3000 dollars and she takes credit card.. HAHA i told her i had 50 cents to give towards the damn bill..and now we have to move out this month with a newborn 300 miles away to his parents' house and cant afford to pay off the rest of the bills! some good the national guard really is...sorry moms, hiding my stress so hubby doesnt stress so much and focuses more.. any advice?

  • Advice #1 Do Not let that credit card accrue interest. You do not want to be paying for that baby at 18%.

  • I had heard that the National Guard was really coming down hard on not letting many people in and letting others go. So, sorry to hear that this happened to your family. Has your husband thought about the Reserves? Also, if you had insurance through the National Guard then you may qualify for insurance for so many days after his orders were cut. It is something to look into. Good Luck!
