Is it safe to take amoxicillin while breast feeding?

    doctors are generally BFing idiots....what out for Thrush...if your nipples start to hurt or baby gets white sopts in the mouth you need to use some genetian violet to treat it

  • Did your doctor prescribe it for you knowing that you're breastfeeding? I don't see why it wouldn't be safe...it would seem to me that whatever infection you're trying to get rid of would be worse for baby than the drug. You should talk to your doctor though.

  • Yes, unless the baby has a known penicillin allergy.
