Pot roast?

Usually I put a packet of onion soup mix (and water) in with my pot roast when I cook it to give it a bit more flavor. However I don't have any today. Anything else tasty I can add instead? I don't want to go to the store for one thing.

  • I wish I could help, I make a mean Roast, but my recipe would require a trip to the store, sorry. I buy a McCormick bag and seasoning combo that is meant for cooking the roast in the oven. I just don't use the bag. I put my roast in my slow cooker and add my potatoes, carrots, and onion. I mix the seasonings with water and pour over the Roast and I let it cook all day. I know this doesn't help you but I don't know any other tricks, I have been doing it the same way for years.
