my friend had sex oct 3.could a test tell if she is preg?

is a week and a half too early to detect pregnancy?

  • it might, but it might not. sometimes it takes up to 30 days to get a positive pregnancy test! but usually by a little more than 2 weeks later, a test should be accurate.

    i think about 25% of pregnancies can be picked up just 10 days after ovulation. but it could also be that she had sex on the 3rd, but didn't ovulate until the 5th or something like that.

  • Still too early yet. Give it a little more time, but don't only test after a missed period because it is very common for some women to continue getting a period for the first few months or even the whole pregnancy.

  • Wait 14 days past ovulation. Sperm can actually survive 5 days in the reproductive tract waiting for ovulation to occur. If that were to occur in her situation, she would not get accurate result until... the 22nd.
