Why did Obama as a senator vote against taking money from pork barrel projects (a baseball stadium in Montana and a visitors center in Louisana) and redirecting it to shoring up the levees in New Orleans?

Why did he vote againstredirecting money from the bridge to nowhere and applying it to the Twin Spans bridge in New Orleans?

Why did he vvote against taking money from fed transportation funding for bike trails and put it into infastructure for bridges safety and maintance after the bridge collapse in Minnesota?

Just curious since he was susposed to CHANGE Washington. He is no reformerand his voting record shows that.

  • Because we all know he's full of sh* hotair! He has no intentions of changing this country for the better, only what will serve his ego. If we don't take action to get him out NOW, it may be too late if we wait. The longer he's taking up space and air in the White House, the worse things are going to get. He needs to be run out of town on a donkey, like the jackass he is!

  • Whatever, he screwed up his image of responsible spending in the first month of his administration with the tarp 2 pork-fest.

  • He argues that he didn't actually vote against the bill. He either abstained from the votes or wasn't present for the votes. He just didn't vote. Therefore, he says he didn't vote for or against certain controversial issues kind of like he is doing with the Afghanistan report.

  • Welcome to the world of politics my dear. Rep. and Dems are all alike. Once you all realize that your comments will be a lot more reasonable. I happen to like Obama and voted for him because he is new to politics compared to the lifers in the House and Senate who have done nothing but make money for themselves for tor the last 30 years. Our country is in turmoil due to our representatives failure to do what we elected them for. If your willing to allow the lifers all their failures I don't see how you can constantly attack Obama who has only been in Washington 8 months. it's possible you don't like him just because....

  • An economist showed today that the new "stimulus" package that is proposed for 2010 will have its largest expenditure in the 3rd quarter. That coincides with the mid-term elections. If BO really cared about jump starting this economy, he would throw the money at the economy during the 1st quarter and then have smaller amounts. It is all contrived and calculated. It is the appearance that the WH thinks the average US citizen is just too stupid to notice that gives me the red ass. He wants the dems to be able to claim the stimulus so they can "maintain power". It's not their power. It's the PEOPLE"S power for crying out loud!!!!!!!!!!
