Do you receive childcare subsidy (military)?

If you receive childcare subsidy through the military, could you tell me how that works? I know that the amount probably depends on how much you make compared to childcare costs, but I'm just curious what the averages are.

  • I don't really know how it would work with private daycares, but my daughter is in a CDH and my hubby with an E-4 salary (he just hit E-5 but has been paid for it yet) and me making very little, we pay $178 a payday for one kid.

You just take a few pay stubs with you and your hubby's LES into the CDC and they will come up with how much you have to pay.
