Best baby monitor?

I am in the process of looking for a baby monitor with video. Any suggestions or reviews would be appreciated.

  • Well my suggestion is not a video monitor it's a breathing monitor. You put this pad under the baby and if they stop breathing for longer than a few seconds the alarm sounds. It is called angel care or made by angel care. Im not sure. We bought it at Babies R Us. The main reason we got it is because we are not going to be watching the tv monitor when we are asleep. Makes sense.

  • Whatever monitor you get, it's best to invest in a digital monitor. We registered for a radio frequency monitor, and it picked up every radio wave in our neighborhood, including the church radio broadcasts from the revivalist church around the corner.

About a month after our daughter was born, we broke down and got a digital monitor. They are slightly more expensive, but worth it. I can hear the clock ticking in her room with the digital montor, and no interference. Well worth the money.
