  • I always thought they were annuals. Last year I stuck one in my garden. YIKES....you should see it! It's huge. It looks so out of place because it's so huge. haha. But I'm not sure if there are different varieties and that some are perennials and some annuals.

  • It depends on the variety and what zone you live in. A lot of the interesting purple and orange hybrid colors won't last through a very cold winter. I live in northeast Ohio and learned the hard way that I can only have extra hardy ones (mostly the white and yellow ones) and expect them to live through the winter.

  • in ohio most of mine come back. not all of them, but most come back bigger each year, of course not all plants survive.
