if you are exposed to h1n1 do you still need to be vacinated for it?

  • If you get sick and YOU are diagnosed with a blood test as having H1N1, then no, you should be immune. But if you are sick and you are not SURE that it's H1N1, then "they" are saying you should still get the vaccine. If you are exposed to someone who DEFINITELY has H1N1 (by blood test) and you do not get sick, then yes, you should get the vaccine.

  • kjrn79, are you sure about that? No one should get a vaccine of any kind, while ill. Read any vaccine insert and that information is in there.

    You shouldn't even get a vaccination if you have a simple case of sniffles.
