Are fig newtons a breakfast food?

My son asked for some after his eggs this morning... I ended up giving him 2 but now I wonder if that was not such a good idea...I mean they are cake right? But then they are full of fiber... I dunno. lol. what do you think?

  • I think it is fine, he ate his eggs and they do have fiber, really not much different than a cearl bar!

  • I would skip the ones with high fructose corn syrup and buy the Newman's or make your own.

  • I think they would be just fine. They are a good source of fiber.
