Nipple blanching

Has anyone had this..do you know what i can do to help it..or should i just get in touch with a lacatation consultant and see what they have to say, i dont want to have to stop breastfeeding because of this but it's so painful that if it's not fixed i cant keep it up, not only does it hurt during but it hurts for an hr or more after.

  • Ask in the breastfeeding group. I don't know what "blanching" is. I've nursed two babies, but don't know what you're asking.

  • You could have thrush, have you looked in baby's mouth to see if there are those white spots on baby's side of mouth. Also just look up online proper latch make sure baby is opening mouth wide.
