help! 36 weeks, increased back ache after 40 hrs of dull back/tummy ache. should i call after hours or wait till morning??

i'm 36 weeks and been having a dull ache in my tummy and back for about 40 hours and every once in awhile seems to feel more achey or tightening, but not often. tonight, my back ache has gotten a lot worse and tho not really painful its achey and pretty uncomfortable. im afraid it might be back labor or something. do i need to call after hours or wait till the morning. its 1 am now. im afraid of overeacting and hearing the same "dont worry about it" as usual so i dont know what to do

  • Call or just go to the ER, i had the same thing at 28 weeks and it was contractions, a lot of women do not feel it in their backs but you have to get to the hospital faster if you have back labor because it can make an epidural difficult

  • You will KNOW when you are in labor. There will be no guessing.

  • Don't worry about it if you are 36 weeks. They won't stop the labor anymore. So you don't need to go until you're in full blown labor. You'll know when that is. You just might be one of the lucky ones who don't have to wait so long. Babies who come at 36 weeks on their own are usually ready, so no worries.
