  • * A clear majority of people in Mexico, 56 percent, thought giving legal status to illegal immigrants in the United States would make it more likely that people they know would go to the United States illegally. Just 17 percent thought it would make Mexicans less likely to go illegally. The rest were unsure or thought it would make no difference.

    * Of Mexicans with a member of their immediate household in the United States, 65 percent said a legalization program would make people they know more likely to go to America illegally.

  • Amnesty, in my opinion, is a horrible, horrible idea. It rewards people for doing something illegal.
I also found the part about our enforcement efforts to be interesting, Good article, thanks for sharing.

  • Of COURSE !

And I'm sure you would find a similar result from a poll here in the U.S.

And the same result of a U.S. poll of NON-Mexicans just as much as of Mexicans.

Our multi-cultural / diversity curriculum in the public schools does not teach respect for ALL cultures - it teaches respect ONLY for NON-American cultures. American 'culture" is portrayed as a non-existent thing. How can you possibly feel loyalty for a nothing?

Progressive changes to public school programming has stamped out the experience of holidays like Christmas, Washington's birthday, Memorial / Veterans' / Flag Days ... historical events important to America are portrayed with blame instead of pride. Nowadays, the mention of EVERY noble American figure is met with a sneer about his failings and a dismissal of his contribution.

What could ANYONE be expected to be loyal to after 40 years of encroaching progressivism in our children's minds?

  • Well it is time to go back! We don't need illegals here in the first place. I am tired of paying taxes to pay for those who want a free ride and that is what it is. Now a lot of people will say how cruel but I could give a rat's ass because those same people do not even pay taxes. We are paying for them too. When will people understand that you have to pay a price for freedom and health care. The govt is not the answer because us tax payers are the ones funding the government. They work for us but you would never know it by the way they sneer their noses at what the people really want - the TRUTH!

  • The Zogby poll page wouldn't load for me...

But considering this is a poll of people in MEXICO, not surprising, really. Better to ask Mexican-Americans, both those born here and those naturalized.

I find it a fascinating fact that the national spokesman for the Minuteman Movement is a man named Herrera....pretty sure he believes loyalty should be to the US.
