Cervix question

ok maybe this is totally ignorant, but I've been trying to gauge my fertility based off of my cervix (soft and high is fertile, low and "tip of nose" feeling is not) but I have to ask...since you actually touch the cervix, does that impact your ability to conceive? TMI- if I've had sex in the past couple days, am I squishing/contaminating/stupi-fying the sperm?

  • You shouldn't be able to "touch" the sperm if it has been in the "past" couple of days. The strong mature sperm should indeed be well past the cervix trying to find an egg to fertilize.

  • ok thanks- I felt like a total idiot asking this, but when you hear that sperm can live for so long in your body and your finger is up there...well you just wonder! thanks so much!
