any tips for bottle weaning? my 19 mo. old boy...

still takes a milk bottle in the am and 1 at night. during the day he drinks choc or strawberry milk from his sippie cup but wont drink plain milk from the cup ?? any ideas tips

  • You have to step up and be BRAVE! As far as drinking plain milk from a sippy just slowly reduce the amount of chocolate or strawberry flavoring from the milk and he will get use to it. Especially since he drinks it out of a bottle. Just take the bottles away, it is hard, I know. We took our son off at 18 months and it was hard, you can offer a sippy in the evening, if he is thirsty he will drink! Good Luck Momma!

  • He's using a sippy cup, there is absolutely no reason he should be still taking a bottle at all. Stop giving it to him.

    As for not drinking plain milk from the cup, stop putting chocolate or strawberry in it. Only give white milk in the cup and he will drink it.
