How early is too early to give mix cereal in baby formala?

My baby is 3 weeks and seems like she' s not getting full..

  • That is way too young to be mixing that in. Thier little tummies can't process much more than formula right now. What makes you think she's not full? You could always try giving her an extra oz and see if that makes it better if she truly is hungry. If she's just fussy after she eats, it may just be gas because she ate too fast. Try sitting her up a bit more when she eats so she does not eat too fast. That way she also swallows less air as she drinks. Burp her real good after as well, cause chowing down that quickly can lead to LOTS of nasty air bubbles trapped in there. (my youngest had that happen all the time cause he always ate too quick) HTH~

  • at 3 weeks babies have a growth spurt which means they will take a bottle more often, this is going to continue to happen every 3-5 weeks for the next 6-9 months. Do NOT put cereal in the bottle you newborn is not ready for it, ceral should be given around 5 months sometimes a little sooner sometimes later depending on the baby and their development.
