Petition for parternal rights. http://www.parentalrights.org/NOTE: I disagree with the ones with a ** in front of them

kids would have the ability to choose their own religion while parents would only have the authority to give their kids advice about religion.**The best interest of the child principle would give the gov the ability to override EVERY decision made by every parent if a gov worker disagreed with the parent’s decision.**A child’s “right to be heard” would allow him to seek gov review of EVERY parental decision with which the child disagreed.According to existing interpretation, it would be illegal for a nation to spend more on national defense than it does on kid’s welfare.kids would acquire a legally enforceable right to leisure.**Christian schools that refuse to teach "alternative worldviews" and teach that Christianity is the only true religion "fly in the face of the treaty.**Allowing parents to opt their kids out of sex education has been held to be out of compliance with the CRC. • **kids would have the right to reproductive health info and services, including abortions,  without parental knowledge or consent.**Parents would no longer be able to administer reasonable spankings to their kids.**A murderer one day before his 18 B.day at the time of his crime could no longer be sentenced to life in prison. Kids have the right to: not be abused/neglected, an education, not to work. parents have the right not to have EVERYTHING they do questioned by the gov.

  • About a year ago this is/was being "adopted" by the United Nations.

    As for this one:

**A child’s “right to be heard” would allow him to seek gov review of EVERY parental decision with which the child disagreed.

There was a well-covered story about a Canadian girl who SUED her father because he wouldn't let her go on a trip with her friends, because he had already grounded her for something else, and she WON! *shakes head*

  • Unfortunately, because online petitions cannot capture actual signatures, they will always be deemed invalid.

  • ok if you agree then lets start paper petitions type one up & take it to work, friends, family, local business.. once you receive 50-100 (or more) signatures mail it off (after copying it) to your state senator and lets fight this.

  • Wouldn't we have horrible children like the kids in Orwell's 1984 if we weren't allowed to parent them?
