How the heck can women let their man off for forgetting their bday?

I'm shocked to hear people say "oh well" dh or so forgot my birthday. WTH? Demand more from your men, speak up, and don't let them get away with that crap. Not ha ha, oh well....

  • Birthdays are not that important around here except with the kids. Maybe you are a 5 year old that needs a party and recognition many of us are grownups who see our birthdays for what they are simply another day.

  • Meh... it's just not a big deal to everyone. I would be a little hurt if he forgot it, but I wouldn't be super upset. It's not that big a deal.

  • Birthdays aren't a big deal here. Though if someone did forget a special date it would be ME not him!!! So if he forgets I can't be upset!!

if he forgot I would be pissed off because, for 1. i remember his b-day 2.im his wife 3.its lazy for him to forget when he writes out the calendar and my b-days marked so to forget means he didnt pay attention to his own notes

  • Childless.  Too much focus on me, me, me.  give me, give me, give me

The only ppl that should have acknowledge it is your parents and even then after a certain age like 30 it should stop.  Just like the only person that should acknowledge your wedding anniversary is your husband.

  • Hell, I forgot my own darn birthday so I wouldn't be upset if DH didn't remember. He actually looked at the calendar when we got home and said "OMG Happy Birthday babe". I forgot it was my birthday until my mom called me around lunch.

He never forgets our anniversary, kids birthday, and parents birthdays, so I can't be mad. Unless you are a kid, celebrating birthdays are semi pointless to me. I know how old I am and don't need to be reminded of it.

  • Birthdays are a big deal here for everyone. We have family celebrations, go out and do something and have a great time. My husband has never forgotten a bday or our anniversary and I have never forgotten his bdays. Bdays aren't about the gifts, we just enjoy the celebration of getting a year older. As a cancer survivor, trust me...it IS a big reason to celebrate!

  • Oh and I have never forgotten our anniversary either. I remember all of them...1st time we talked, 1st date, the day we decided to get married and the day we got married. So does my husband.
