  • 8 oz at one feeding is definatly too much for a one month old. i would be asking the doctor, especially if shes puking.

  • Um yeah 8 oz seems WAY to much for a 1 month old. Try 4 oz instead.

  • When my son was a month old he was eating 2.5 oz every 2.5 hrs. your baby craves the suckling sensation so she's going to keep eating until she cant possibly hold anymore. Try giving her a pacifier when she's done eating.

  • Also, what kind of formula are you giving her?? She may be overeating because she's so hungry from not keeping anything in her tummy, the throwing up may be because she has a milk allergy. My middle son did this. He ate and threw up. As soon as we put him on soy formula, we had no more problems. Does she throw up when you give her water too??

  • way too much for a one month old, I say, give 2 ounces and burp, 2 ounces then burp and see if the baby is still hungry, after 4 ounces do one ounce and burp and so on. Burping between gets the gas out so they wont spit up their food, and lets the food settle as well.
