  • The biggest number of miscarriages are due to chormosomal abnormalities in the baby. Sometimes, the progesterone level in the mother will not sustain the pregnancy and she will miscarry. That can be fixed with supplements. There are a number of things in the mothers body that can cause problems that are beyond her control and not detected until she loses a baby. Stress has to be at an extreme level to cause a miscarriage...everyday stress will not. I hope this has not happened to you. I lost two babies this way and sometimes the unanswered questions are hard to take. Good luck in the future!

  • There are a multitude of things that could cause one. Something wrong with the baby, something wrong with mom's body, stress, etc.

  • lots of things....your body will usualy naturally expell a fetus that is geneticly unhealthy, there are very few genetic abnormalities that actually survive like downs syndrome. if a fetus is missing or has extra chromosomes your body may get rid of it as a natural process of elimination. sometimes a womans imune system may over react and fight of a fetus as if it were an unknown parasite or disease. and sometimes it may just be a nutritional imbalance in your body, and sometimes there is no reason at all. i know it all sounds crude but its how our bodies work. best of luck to you in future attempts.

  • there are several things that can cause a miscarriage...diet, the length of the LUTEAL phase of your menstrual cycle, illnesses, infections, immune system problems, genetics...the number one problem i would say is what the previous post said, the immune system fights the fetus...they don't know why this happens, but it does

  • i think the biggest reason is that it wasn't viable, it had some defect that made it unable to develop. :)
