gintian violet on the carpet

i believe that there is no way to get it out but i figure i would test my luck and see if anyone else has ever been able to get it out??

  • Did you try salt? It works for red wine.

  • It's alcohol soluble. You may be able to lift most of the stain by putting some rubbing alcohol on it and blotting furiously (alcohol can damage varnish on the floor underneath.) After that, try some OxyClean or other oxygen bleach to remove the remaining color. Good luck. It responds well to chlorine bleach, but you can't use that on carpet.
