Dinner question

My husband took out oldest son out squirrel hunting. They won't be home for dinner. It's just me and our 3 YO and our 5 month old at home. Should I cook a big dinner or just throw some hot dogs in a pot and geat up some chili?

  • If the hunters are getting their own dinner, definitely something quick and easy for you and the little ones. If they will need food when they get home, however late that is, you might want to consider making something so that they can heat up leftovers. If you really want brownie points, you can make something fun and easy for the preschooler that they wouldn't usually get because the big people don't like it (like green or purple mac and cheese with blue milk. . . .) and then have something else waiting for the hunters.

no but really i would just throw something together---but make extras for when hunters return on empty :)
