  • Mold can be dangerous, and it spreads like wildfire, in some states there is a free inspection for these things. The only way to get rid of it is identifying the mold and calling a specialist to clean it. I had it done for a rental apt. I have, it was expensive but worth it. Your landlord should be notified of the problem, if you get sick because of it you can sue her for not getting it fixed. Clorox won't help in the long term it will only come back.

  • Call your local EPA and report it and the landlord for ignoring your concerns. Sounds like your heating/cooling ducts may need to be cleaned out or you may have a hidden water leak behind a wall. Either way call the EPA and report it and your slum lord landlord for ignoring you. If the EPA wont help, call your local health department office, but the EPA takes mold complaints very seriously these days.
