  • i'm sure there is tons of info in the bible about good and evil. Go to biblegateway.com and enter God, Good, Evil into the search.

Evil is as evil does- same thing as stupid is as stupid does. Doing evil is what makes you evil.

  • God isn't evil,so he made evil in the form of the devil.[God will use evil to get our attention or to make us depend on him more, because there's times he does that but his purpose is to make us turn to him,the devil does evil to turn you away from God.We have a choice to make ,whether the evil came from God or the devil,Gods desire is that you turn to Him.God is Love it says so in the Bible,so to say that a evil came from God like say a tornado, that's not totally true. The only reason God would send evil is for your own good to teach you a lesson or something and to get you to turn to Him.This is a tough question,I don't want to say just the devil and God send evil, there's weather patterns and people who have a free will, who sin and cause damage to one another. If you want to know about evil, learn about mans free will=his character to sin freely, that's evil..

  • For Christians; the story in the Bible that talks about God using evil to test mans perception of God is in the book of Job.How do we perceive God?Is He loving and kind, then He's loving and kind through our trials. Not saying all our trials come from Him,but if they did would you still Love Him?

  • I was just going to type that, beeky. :)

In my spiritual path, good and evil are a means to keep balance in the world.
If there were too much evil, life would be horrible, to say the least. Too much good,
and it gets boring. Plus, the Universe would be out of wack. Like a Yin and Yang
of sorts. We do not believe there is a 'Satan' making people do evil things. We do
not believe there is someone in the sky who works in mysterious ways. My 'religion'
believes that each person is responsible right now for their actions, and that Karma
reacts to our deeds, good or bad.

Have you read the entire book? Job was used as a witness of a faithfull man to Satan in the face of trials. Job never knew this. He was rewarded richly for his faith.

  • "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning you, ...that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom. On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:19-23

& perhaps with 'evil is as evil does', Galatians 5:7-9? "Do not be misled: God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap; because he who is sowing with a view to his flesh will reap corruption from his flesh, but he who is sowing with a view to the spirit will reap everlasting life from the spirit."

    Hope this helps xxx
