Trying to remove the toxins.....

My son is 5 and has been seeing a DAN!(Defeat Autism Now) Doctor for a year for biomedical treatment. He has been going through chelation since Feburary we have seen tremendous improvements. But I need some guidance in what to use in daily life that is toxin free. Like cups, baking pans, utensils, etc. Anyone out there that has done this?

  • Which toxins?

Anything... or, rather, everything is toxic in sufficient doses, even water. Everything is made up of chemicals, and most of them off-gas and leech into liquids or foods. Very few chemicals are inert, but some are unabsorbable (like aluminum) when swallowed, but quite dangerous if inhaled, whereas some chemicals are dangerous even on skin.

You'll need to be more specific --what you're trying to avoid, rather than 'toxins'.

  • Vintage glass is safer than anything new. You definitely don't want any coated cookware (like teflon), though le cruset is fine; nothing aluminum either. Cast iron is best for cooking, especially old pieces. The DAN practioner should be able to give you guidelines.
