  • At 4-6 months sweet potato or avacado can be your baby's first solid. Just mash a little and let the baby feed itself. You never need to feed baby cereal or jar food.

  • As an infant, we gave DS homemade baby food. I mixed the food with breastmilk in a blender. We introduced food in this order: avacado, sweet potato, green beans, peas, white potato. At 2 he eats just about every vegetable under the sun. His favorites are green beans, broccoli, and bell peppers (any color).

  • My daughter is 20 months, and has all of her infant teeth and is cutting her two year molars now. She started teething young though. In any case, my daughter won't eat baby corn or cooked carrots anymore, but other than that, she will eat vegetable likes crazy. Start with pureed, either store bought or home made. They can eat that after about 4-6 month depending on when you want to start solids. She gets usually 3 servings a day of vegetables. Always at least two and none of it is juice or potatoes(which I consider a starch).
